Scouts Recruit at West End Festival - 16-06-2008Volunteers from the Region’s Great Western District and the Regional Team, joined 1000’s of people from across Scotland at the weekend, at this year’s West End Festival in Byres Road where they promoted the opportunities that Scouting can offer. The team operated The Scout Association’s Mobile Display Unit which promoted the benefits of volunteering and provided some activities for young people in the form of a bouldering wall and giant games.
During the course of the day, six adults expressed and interest in helping with their local Scout Group, recognising the fun and adventure that they would experience through volunteering and the District are now following up these enquiries.
