Chapelhall Invests Explorer Scouts in Switzerland - 27-08-2008The 5th Airdrie & 8th Airdrie (Chapelhall) Scout Troops joined forces and attended the permanent International Jamboree at Kandersteg International Scout Centre (KISC), Switzerland this summer. 29 Scouts and five Leaders took part in a wide variety of activities such as hiking in the Swiss Alps, shooting down the mountain on the Rodelbahn (toboggan), and swimming in a glacier lake.
10 of the Scouts were invested as Explorer Scouts, in the newly formed Chapelhall Explorer Scout Unit, as they made their Promise IN the Oeschinensee.
