Hobbycraft, the UK's leading art and craft retailer has recently joined in
partnership with The Scout Association in sponsoring the Cubs Artist Activity Badge.
We are currently working together to create informative and inspirational leader packs as well as fun and exciting activity books for Cubs. All our resources are designed with both the leaders and Cubs in mind; not only do we want to share our love and passion for arts and crafts but we want to make it fun and exciting every step of the way.
Would you like some support with the Cub Artist Activity badge? If so, Lyn from Hobbycraft at The Glasgow Fort would like to hear from you.
Hllo, My name is Lyn Paton, I work at hobbycraft at Glasgow fort. As you may know we are working with the scout movement to help cubs with their art badge.

Expedition Leadership Team opportunities
Author: Gary Bainbridge | Date: 10-08-2012
At its last meeting before the summer, the Regional Executive Committee gave approval in principle, to plan an expedition to Malawi in the summer of 2014 or 2015 (the date has not yet been confirmed as we need to leave enough planning time from the appointment of a leadership team).
The expedition will be open for up to 26 Explorer Scouts and members of Scout Network in the Region who are aged 16+ at the time of travelling to Malawi.
The expedition will take place over a period of up to 4 weeks. The primary purpose of the expedition will be to provide a development opportunity for our young people by exposing them to a totally different culture, providing the opportunity for them to undertake some project work, visit some local schools, hospitals & orphanages whilst there and do some R&R activities.
So what now?
To kickstart the planning, we have 3 exciting opportunities for existing Scouting volunteers from Clyde Region.
We need to recruit an Expedition Leader, Deputy Expedition Leader and 2 Assistant Expedition Leaders.
Do you have the skills, enthusiasm and drive to be part of this exciting project?
