Cub Centenary Adventure Camp

6th - 8th May 2016

Plans are now being made for Clyde Region to celebrate the centenary of Cub Scouts with an adventure camping weekend at Auchengillan.

The event organising group are working hard on planning the weekend and more details will be posted here as they become available.

The outline programme for the weekend is

  • Friday night, arrive & set up camp.
  • Saturday
    • 9.45am - Grand opening
    • 10am – 12noon - Activities
    • 12noon - 1.45pm - Lunch
    • 2pm – 4pm - Activities
    • 4pm - 6pm - Dinner
    • 6pm – 8pm - Evening activities
  • Sunday
    • 10am – 12noon - Activities
    • 12noon - Closing event
    • 12.15pm onwards - Lunch then strike camp and head for home.

Each District will camp in its own sub-Camp and as well as the full range of activities that Auchengillan hasd to offer, there will be a number of themed activity zones around the site. All Cubs will get the chance to do activities in each zone over the weekend.

Timetable for details is:

  • Information & badge competition - September 2015
  • Open registration - October/November 2015
  • Deposit payments by December 2015
  • Full payments by Easter 2016

The cost for Cubs will be £35, excluding food and travel

The cost for leaders will be £10, excluding food and travel

Deposit payments of £10 per person should be sent to the regional office and cheques should be made payable to Clyde Regional Scout Council please.
