National Navigation Award Scheme Training

19th September 2015, 9:00 - 20th September 2015, 17:00

This course is now FULLY BOOKED.

For Leaders wishing to work towards gaining their Hill Permits we are offering Navigation training at the Bronze and Silver levels of the National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS). See www.nnas.org.uk for details of the Scheme.

Silver NNAS gives good basic navigation skills meaning trainees would be well placed thereafter to develop their skills up towards a Scout Permit holder level.

The course will run between 9-5pm both days and is split between two venues- the 72nd Scout Hall (500 Crow Rd G11 7DW-beside Jordanhill Railway Station) will be used for the initial indoor theory session on Saturday morning starting at 9am and the final indoor session on the Sunday afternoon; the outdoor sessions will be in Mugdock Country Park.

Outdoor clothing, kit, and footwear etc will be required, as if going out on the hill. A packed lunch is required for both days.

18 places are available. The charge is £5 per participant to be paid on booking. To book click here and then follow the link to online payments
