Great Western's Beaver Adventure - 05-02-2010

More than 100 Beavers from across Great Western District descended upon Auchengillan last weekend for a fun day, packed full of activities. For some, the day actually started with a Beaver Scout sleepover in The Allander Chalet on the Friday night.

After a night of short sleep, the Beavers and those who arrived for the day had the opportunity to try out abseiling and climbing, a shot on the grass sledges and arts and crafts.

During the course of the day, the Beavers worked on completing their Outdoor Challenge badge, the Adventure Activity badge and some also completed their Nights Away 1.

Their fun filled day ended with a special presentation to District Commissioner Anne Law and Christine Cavanagh to thank them for their work in organising the event and keeping everyone well fed.
