Appointment of Assistant Regional Commissioner (Communications) - 08-09-2010

The Region is pleased to be able to announce the appointment of Gavin Holt to the role of Assistant Regional Commissioner (Communications).

Gavin started Scouting as a Beaver not long after his 6th birthday and hasn't looked back since! In Scouting, as well as his Regional Appointment, he is on the Scottish Scout Network Council Executive as the Board Representative and he is also an Assistant Scout Leader with 2nd Coatbridge Scout Group.

When he is not Scouting, Gavin works as a web designer and developer for a UK web consultancy firm and he has recently started a degree in Computer Science (Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures for any fellow geeks amongst you!).

'Communications are constantly changing and I think that Scouting has a diverse enough membership to benefit from using a wide range of communication mediums,' said Gavin 'we can communicate more effectively if we engage with people using a medium that is most convenient to them. I hope to be able to push the already fantastic communications in Clyde further!'
