Are you a Scout volunteer at Glasgow University?

12th October 2016

If you are a University of Glasgow student who is also a Scout volunteer/leader you can now have your volunteering recognised on your University Transcript via the Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR). This recognises extra-curricular activities which students undertake and requires the submission of a reflective log in the Spring months each year. HEAR will only be awarded to current University of Glasgow students who have been volunteering from the 1st July 2016 onwards.

This means you have to register an account on the SRC volunteer database https://volunteer.src.gla.ac.uk/ and apply for the Scouts. Nothing more will be done with your application if you are an existing volunteer. Only brand new volunteers will have their details passed on to Gary Bainbridge. If you are unsure if this affects you, please email volunteer@src.gla.ac.uk
