What We Do

Clyde Scouts runs an outdoor centre at Auchengillan which provides a focus for the provision of adventure based programme and development activities for young people in local Scout Groups. We also have two campsites Avondyke and Coltswood which can be booked for self run programmes.

The Glasgow Scout Shop supplies Scout uniforms, books and badges and outdoor clothing and equipment that supports the programme undertaken by our youth members.

The Regional Commissioner is the lead volunteer in the Region and they are supported in their work by the Regional Team and a number of Committees.

Avondyke Campsite

Avondyke is situated just outside Stonehouse in the heart of South Lanarkshire.
it is available for use for greenfield camping or day visits by local Scout Groups and is ideal for those looking to run a self programming camp and enjoy some traditional Scouting skills.

Coltswood Wood & Campsite

Coltswood is situated in Calder district just outside of Coatbridge.
An amazing wood with trails and clearings across many acres.

Pinkston Watersports

Pinkston Watersports was the project of Glasgow Watersports Ltd, a charity run by volunteer watersports enthusiasts for the benefit of the community.

Clyde Region are lucky enough to have our own 40ft container which has a variety of kayaks, paddles, buoyancy aids, spray tops and helmets for the white water rafting.
